Program Overview

At the Adaptive Strength Association of British Columbia, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the physical and emotional benefits of strength training, regardless of their abilities or circumstances. Our Adaptive Strength Program is designed to help individuals gain strength, discover effective modifications for their unique needs, and build the confidence to advocate for themselves in any fitness environment

Who We Serve

Our program is currently open to individuals who face physical challenges that require adaptations for strength training, particularly those with permanent impairments resulting from conditions like spinal cord injury, limb differences, a neurological condition, or similar circumstances. While we focus on those with lifelong physical impairments, we welcome anyone who feels this program aligns with their needs and goals. Our aim is to provide a safe, inclusive space where participants can feel supported and confident to reach their full potential.

  • Learn how to adapt traditional movements to suit your needs, ensuring both safety and effectiveness.

Build Confidence and Self-Advocacy Skills:

  • Develop the skills to clearly express your needs in any gym or training setting.
  • Learn practical strategies for working with trainers, gym staff, or workout partners to create a welcoming and inclusive fitness experience.
