We’re a non-profit making strength training accessible, inclusive, and affordable for people with disabilities across British Columbia. Whether you’re here to train, to support someone, or to give back, you belong here.
The Adaptive Strength Association is a non-profit organization, currently operating within the Comox Valley, that is dedicated to making fitness accessible and inclusive for individuals of all abilities. We specialize in creating adaptive strength training programs that help people with mobility challenges, neuro-adaptive needs, and other functional limitations achieve their fitness goals. Through education, advocacy, and compassionate coaching, we aim to break down barriers in fitness spaces, ensuring everyone feels confident and supported. Our mission is to foster strength in body, mind, and community while promoting an inclusive culture in gyms and beyond.
As a non-profit, we are always looking for ways to fund our mission!
If you are interested in sponsoring our cause, or can connect us with someone looking to give back to their community, please check out our 'How To Help' page, or reach out directly to Marnie@AdaptiveStrength.org
We provide inclusive strength training programs designed for people with disabilities. From one-on-one coaching to group sessions, our focus is on creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces where every body can discover their strength.
Your support makes our work possible. Whether it’s through donations, volunteering your time, or partnering with us, every contribution helps expand access to adaptive strength training and ensures that cost is never a barrier.
We’ve gathered tools, guides, and local supports to help you navigate adaptive fitness and community wellness. From training tips to accessibility resources, you’ll find practical information and connections to keep your journey moving forward.
Behind every session and program is a dedicated team of coaches and leaders with extensive training, education, and lived experience in disability and adaptive movement. Get to know the people who believe that strength truly belongs to everyone.
