New Workshop Alert!! Check out Recalibrate: Stop Managing The Pain. Start Changing the Signal
At Adaptive Strength Association, we believe that access to quality coaching should not be determined by your financial situation. Our sliding scale model is one of the ways we live that value.
A sliding scale means that the rate you pay for coaching is flexible — determined collaboratively between you and your coach based on what you can genuinely and sustainably afford. There is no judgment, no means testing, and no complicated process. It is simply a conversation.
Our standard rate reflects the true value of the expertise, care, and skill our coaches bring to every session. But we also know that life is complicated, and financial access should never be the reason someone misses out on support that could change their life.
During your intake conversation, you can discuss your financial situation with your coach, with complete discretion and without judgment.
Together, you will land on a rate that works for both of you — one that you can sustain over time without financial strain.
This rate can be revisited as your circumstances change. If things get harder or easier financially, just let your coach know.
Your rate is private. No one at ASA shares or compares client rates.
Why we do this
ASA was built on the belief that people of all abilities, backgrounds, and financial means deserve access to skilled, compassionate coaching. When a client accesses our sliding scale, ASA — not your coach — absorbs the difference. This means your coach is never placed in a position of giving beyond their means, and you are never placed in a position of going without.
Something we want you to know: coaching is deeply skilled and often physically and energetically demanding work — especially for coaches who themselves live with a disability or health condition. A coach who charges $120 per hour is not getting rich. They may only be able to work a limited number of hours per week in order to sustain their own wellbeing.
Their rate reflects not only their expertise and training, but also the reality of what it costs — physically, mentally, and financially — to show up fully for every client, every session, for the long term.
By supporting our sliding scale model, whether you pay standard rate or access a reduced rate, you are part of an ecosystem that keeps skilled coaches in this work and keeps this work accessible to everyone.
If you have any questions about our pricing model or want to discuss your rate before your first session, please don't hesitate to reach out to info@adaptivestrength.org. We'd rather have a conversation than have cost stand in the way.
